What is a verb?
A verb is a word that someone or something is or was doing. think, work, shout, laugh etc
What is a noun?
A noun is a word that represents a person, thing, concept, or place (e.g., “John,” “house,” “affinity,” “river”).
What is a determiner?
A determiner is a person or thing that determines something a, an the, etc.
What is an adjective?
An adjective is a word that describes a noun. The big apple, an enormous elephant etc.
What is an adverb?
An adverb is a word that describes a verb, ad-verb. The man QUICKLY ran into the station. The bird THOUGHTFULLY glided into the air etc.
What is a preposition?
A preposition is a word that describes the location of someone of thing. The mouse was IN the sewer. The apple was OUTSIDE the house etc.
What is a conjunction, (coordinating)?
Coordinating conjunction are words that join sentences together. The cat was on the bed AND it bumped its head. The monkey was in the car BUT it was its first time.
What are Subordinating conjunctions?
Subordinating conjunctions are words that are used to join a subordinating clause to a sentence. The man was still able to stand, ALTHOUGH, he was not able to normally walk.
