Focus: assessment of work related skills in 14 areas
Method: individual completes 15 brief tasks
Scoring: evaluator checks off areas that were observed to be difficult
Population: Adolescents and preadolescents with learning disabilities
McCarron-Dial System
assessment of prevocational, vocational, and educational abilities in 5 main areas
Method: pre-screening interview, work samples from each area, occurs in structured test center, observation in work or classroom setting
Scoring: each of the instruments is scored, work samples, and observations are scored
Population: 16 years or older with neuro impairment
Reading-free Vocational Interest Inventory
Focus: identification of vocational interests in a number of areas
method: presents a group of three pictures and requests the client to choose the job that’s most preferred, 55 sets of pictures
Scoring: converted to a numerical score that represents the level of interest
Population: individuals with IDD
