Union dues/Fair Share dues
money that is taken out of paycheck, and goes to union , fair shares are for those with less benefits
Probation Period
time period when you can be let go at anytime for any reason
Work duties
Your assigned job duties
PTO
Paid time off, you usually get a set amount a year.
Leave of Absence
When you leave for health reason, children, surgery etc. Is not paid and is a formal paper.
Workers compensation
If your injured on the job, you will get paid for it to cover health costs etc.

On-Call
Getting called into work when your not scheduled, YOU have a day scheduled when our on-call. Ex. maintenance, fire fighters.
Lunch & breaks
Usually 1-3 breaks, all MN workers must get lunch and restroom breaks
Jury service
All with a driver license and must be 18+. The government calls you in to watch a court case as jury. not paid.
Payroll deductions
Money taken out of paycheck due to law, taxes or insurance, listed on paystub.
Insurance
Life, dental, vision etc can be only applied and edited once. Comes out of paycheck, amount is based on amount of people.
