What is Individualism
individualism is the prioritization or emphasis of the individual over the entire group.
What is collectivism
Collectivistic cultures emphasize the needs and goals of the group as a whole over the needs and wishes of each individual.
What is universalism
In Universalism what is wrong is wrong and what is right is right, there is no budging on this fact.
what is Particularism
In particularism what is right and what is wrong may fluctuate depending on the circumstances around those actions.
Monochronic time
In Monochronic, time dictates your schedule, your schedule is set up around time
What is Internal Locus of control
An internal Locus of control is the belief that you are in control of your life and you have to take responsibility for it
what is an external Locus of control
External Locus of control is the belief that the events in your life are caused by circumstances and actions out of your control.

What is surface culture
VISUAL elements of culture that are easily identifiable, easily shared, and easily accessed. such as music or clothes
what are Unspoken rules
he things that don’t get talked about, and often times aren’t even realized. I.e Notions of Modesty or Concept of Beauty
what are Unconscious Rules
characteristics rooted so deeply in a culture its often hard for members of that culture to articulate or notice it. i.e sense of time or concepts of right and wrong

The study of contemporary cultures and those of the recent past

Judging another culture solely by the values and standards of one’s own culture.

Culture must be understood in terms of the values and beliefs of that culture
Extreme Cultural Relativism
Whatever goes on in a culture must not be questioned or changed because no one has the right to question ANY behaviour or idea
