When a monarch grants is to be a city.
What is a settlement?
A settlement is a collection of dwelling ps where groups of people live in the same area.
What is market town?
A market town is a small town/s in a rural area centred around a market for farming produce but with other non farming functions as well.
What is urbanisation?
Urbanisation is an increasing percentage of a country’s population living in towns and city’s.
What graphs can you use for urbanisation and population in a country.
Scatter graphs (dots) and choropleth graphs (shades of a colour).
How does having more money help countries have a higher urbanisation?
It helps them as they would be able to build more factories and living areas and work places which all cause higher percentages in urbanisation.
How does being a bigger country help to have a higher percentage in urbanisation?
It helps as they would have more land to build up on.
What is a megcity?
A mega city is a city with more than 10 million people in there population.
What continent has most of the worlds largest cities?
Asia.
Which two continents urban % are increasing fast?
Asia and Africa.
