What happened to the Kronstadt sailors?
after life didn’t change- wanted social democratic changes, but the peasants still had to give up their crops and it was more communist, so even the Kronstadt revolted- they stayed in the Kronstadt fortress and fought off the first round of Red soldiers, but then Lenin sent more soldiers at night and some Kronstadt soldiers stayed and fought but lost and were killed, and others fled into Finland

an economic policy of Soviet Russia proposed by Vladimir Lenin, who called it “state capitalism”

creates divisions amongst socialists in Europe (some were willing to follow these conditions and some would not)

they were split- some people would call themselves socialists and some would call themselves communists?

he was a better organizer- he became “general secretary” of the party, so he gave his friends jobs with power (organizes people below him that will support him and take Trotsky down)

that capitalism would rise again
What was the main resistance in agriculture?
if peasants couldn’t keep their own crops and animals, than the state couldn’t have them either- they would destroy their crops and kill their livestock
What terrible thing happened in Ukraine?
it wasn’t really part of the Soviet Union, so when they started resisting, Stalin cut off food sources and introduced a man made famine and over 6 million people died
