The harsh punishment of Germany after being blamed for WW1
What effects did the Treaty of Versailles have against Germany?
Germany lost territory, had to pay reparations, and had strict military limits.
How did Hitler respond to the Treaty of Versailles?
HItler violated the treaty by forming a union with Austria (Anchluss) and expanding.

Adolf Hitler (Germany): Fascist, wrote Mein Kampf, promoted Nazism and lebensraum (living space).

A pact Germany and the Soviet Union agreed not to attack each other, which was later broken.

British civilians rescued trapped soldiers with boats -a miracle.
What was the Battle of Stalingrad?
The turning point in the war, when Germany started to lose. Allied forces surrounded Germany, many died due to starvation and cold.
What happened at Pearl Harbor, and what was its significance?
Japan attacked US after US cut their oil supply, and it led to US officially joining the war.
What was the Doolittle Raid, and why did it happen?
US bombed Tokyo, as revenge for Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor.

Eisenhower was from U.S, and he planned D-Day.

FDR was from U.S, and he was the president during WW2.
