Oppose their thumb across palm and clench their fist, clinician passively deviates their wrist into ulnar deviation
Can have false positives
Finklestein test
Pts thumb flexed across palm, passively takes wrist to ulnar deviation
Sweater finger sign test
Loss of DIPJ flexion when a fist is made is ++ test
Indicates ruptured flexor digitorum profundus tendon, ring finger most common affected
Tinels sign
Wrist in neutral, clinician taps firmly midpoint of the carpal tunnel at the wrist
Parasthesia or numbness indicate ++ test
Phalens wrist flexion test
Elbow n full extension and forearm in pronation pts wrist is held in flexion for 1 min, parastheisa in median nerec ++ test
Froments sign for ulnar nerve paralysis
Superficial at the wrist and can be palpated in guyana canal between pisiform and hook of hamate
Froments sign for ulnarnerve paralysis
Holds a piece of paper between index finger and thumb in lateral key grip and lcinician trys to pull it away
radial
Palpable at the terminal parts of radial sensory nerve in anatomical snuffbox
