Action:
- 5th MCP joint extension
- 5th DIP and PIP EXT, working with the lumbricals and interossei
Origin:
- Lateral epicondyle via the common extensor tendon
- Deep antebrachial fascia
Insertion:
- to the middle and distal phalanx of the 5th finger via the extensor digitorum tendon
Innervation:
- Radial (C6-C8)
Extensor Indicis
Action:
- 2nd MCP EXT (index finger)
- 2nd DIP and PIP EXT, working with the lumbricals and interossei
Origin:
- posterior surface of the ulna, distal to the extensor pollicus longus
- interosseous membrane
Insertion:
- to the middle and distal phalanx of the index finger via the extensor digitorum tendon
Innervation:
- Radial (C6-C8)
Extensor Pollicis Brevis
Action:
- 1st MCP joint EXT
- 1st CMC joint EXT
- 1st CMC joint abduction
- assist in wrist radial deviation

- posterior surface of the distal radius

- dorsal surface of the base of the proximal phalanz of the thumb

- sides of the middle phalanges of digits 2-5
