A
  • Wrote the first textbook of psychology
  • Set up the first laboratory of experimental psychology (1875)
  • Used the scientific method to study the nature of human consciousness
  • Showed that introspection could be used to study mental states in replicable laboratory experiments.

  • some ppt may have hidden some of their thoughts
  • difficult to establish meaningful laws of behaviour = which is sciences aim
