Describe the D-Day invasion.

A

June 6, 1944 - 4,000 Allied ships crossed the English Channel and Landed on five beaches on Normandy, France. Beaches were mined and much gunfire- Allied forces able to push past German forces. Allied forces then freed Paris August 25, 1944 and then liberated rest of France.
