What is the holding brake button used for?
Keep holding brake while powering (maintenance only)

What is the purpose of the TCU?
To communicate with the traction converter on how much power to distribute to traction motors for power or braking

What is the purpose of the safety rescue switch?
To provide a trickle charge to a dead 3 car set from a 3 car set with power
Does the safety rescue switch recharge the batteries?
No it just provides power for the safety loop to close
