Persephone gets stolen by Hades.
Demeter finds out it was Hades that took her daughter from Hecate, who heard, and Helios, who saw.

She goes to live with mortals.
All the crops fail.
Zeus says sorry, and says that Hades should give her back.
Hades does, but first he tempted her to eat 6 seeds of pomegranate.
Now Persephone must stay there for 6/12 months a year.
