What does the nucleus do?
Controls the cell, it contains DNA
What does the cell membrane do?
Keeps the contents together, partially permeable
What is difusion?
Diffusion is the process in which the particles of a substance move from a high concentration to a low concentration
What is osmosis?
A special type of diffusion, it is the diffusion of water molecules
What is an enzyme?
A catalyst, it speeds up the reactions but it does not use itself up in the reaction. Enzymes are made of protein and are used to break down food
Where is Bile made?
In the liver
Function of the circulatory system
To transport substances in the body
Plasma
Liquid part of the blood
Red blood cells function
Takes up oxygen in the lings and delivers it to the cells through the body
white blood cells function
Fights infections

carries blood away from the heart

pumps blood into the lungs so it can be oxygenated
