2
Q

What is cluster sampling

A

The population is divided into groups called “clusters”. These clusters are then randomly selected to form a sample.

Q

What is stratified sampling?

A

Proportional representation of each group is chosen.

For example, out of a group of 150 people, 45 had a cheese sandwich and you wanted to find a sample of 20, you would do 45/150 times by 20.

Q

Equation of circle with a centre of (0,0) is…

A

…x^2 +y^2=r^2

17
Q

What is the completed square form of a circle?

A

(x-a)^2+(y-b)^2=r^2

18
Q

Independent vs mutually exclusive?

A

Independent=One variable occurring does not have an affect on the other occurring.

Mutually exclusive=Two variables cannot happen at the same time.

19
Q

What is the outlier formula?

A

Mean plus 2 times the standard deviation.

Mean minus 2 times the standard deviation.

20
Q

How to find the expected and the most likely number in a binomial distribution?

A

Expected number: Times the numbers inside the bracket.

Most likely number=The integer closest to the expected number.

21
Q

In a velocity time graph, the gradient is…

A

the accleration.

22
Q

In a displacement time graph, the gradient is…

A

the velocity.

23
Q

How to know if an equation has equal roots?

A

The discriminant is equal to 0

24
Q

How to know if an equation has unequal roots?

A

The discriminant is not equal to 0.

25
How to know if an equation has two real roots, one real root, or no real roots?
For two real roots, the discriminant is above 0, for one it is equal to 0, and for no real roots it is below 0.
26
What is the formula for an arc length?
2pi x radius x theta/360
27
What do you do when the number given in the hypothesis test is inside the critical reigon?
You can reject the null hypothesis.
