Check Start – starting techniques

1) Basic check
2) Front Shoulder check – Fast kick
3) Rear shoulder check – Roundhouse kick
4) Turn shoulder check – Back kick check

Note (purpose Check start – gauge opponent reaction) – Provides valuable assessment of effective types of kicks or attack - Checking to see if kick can connect or setup for a complimentary kick to connect. If an opponet doesn’t react or react slow the check kick can be effective, but if the opponet reacts strongly then a complementary kick can be used to follow the check motion.

Use check throught out the match, the checks become more effective as the match continues and the opponents become tired.
