What is a socket wrench?

What is a box ended wrench? What is an open end wrench?
A box end wrench is a type of wrench that has an enclosed gripping head that is placed around a nut or bolt. Often, a box end wrench can be used in tight spots where a socket wrench cannot fit.
An open end wrench is a type of wrench that has a gripping head with an opening so the head can be slid on the nut or bolt head from the side. These wrenches are used in close spaces and on unions.
What is an adjustable wrench?
An adjustable wrench is a wrench with gripping jaws that can be moved to form the desired size opening. Odd-sized nuts and bolts are often found in refrigeration work. Therefor, wrenches with adjustable jaws are necessary.
What are pipe wrenches?
Pipe wrenches are wrenches designed to grip pipes, studs, and other cylindrical surfaces.
Internal pipe wrenches can also be used to install pipes, nipples, or fittings.
What are hex key wrenches?

A refrigeration service valve wrench is needed to turn a service valve’s stem.

Cutting pliers are pliers with jaws that can be used for cutting various materials. Lineman pliers are a powerful cutting and gripping tool. Diagonal pliers have jaws angled for use in close quarters for a nearly flush cut.
