Define geography
The study of the earth’s features

Imaginary vertical lines going from the North Pole to the South Pole on a map. They show how far east or west a place is from the Greenwich Meridian

Define relife
The shape of the land surface and its height above sea level

A point on a map with a number giving its height above sea level in metres
Define layer colouring
A method of showing height on a map by using colours
Define contour lines
Lines drawn on a map to join places of equal height above sea level
