Palpate temperature and tenderness over the greater trochanter

Leg length discrepency (apparent and true)

(apparent = xiphisternum, true = ASIS)

A

Thomas’ test

Flexion

Rotation (internal and external rotation)

Abduction and adduction (contralateral ASIS for abduction, ipsilateral for adduction)

Trendelenburg test
