A

MY AFRO - Mental Health: working continually with health providers to ensure MH are not in danger to themselves or others, Youth: 17% of youth commit 40% of crime great opp to reduce crime. OT invest in early intervention. We must take a trauma-informed approach to youth. Alcohol: adds to other demands, capture well-informed data in inform decision making - work with partners alcohol providers and suppliers. Family: ‘Foot in the door’ this are takes up enormous Police resources not reflected in crime stats. Make more public. Road: Work smarter to deduce death and harm support Govt strategy and disrupt crime through intel in 3Ts. Organised Crime: focus on professional investigations to prevent and disrupt crime type.

A

Our People and their mindset? Use PHPF to build our people skills, knowledge mindset and performance. Applying Te Ao Maori approach.

Explain Pou Mataaho?

A

Effective initiatives and improved practise - focus on co-design - whanau ora - use evidence based approach focus what has been and will be successful for Maori. Work with Maori to address root causes of offending/re offending and inter generational harm. Research suggest that investment in Maori-led approaches are more effective than programmes designed by non-Maori

Explain Pou Horua?

A

Build p/ships with iwi - whanau - hapu, improve long-term well-being and influence x-govmnt sectors. Maori need to be acknowledged as treaty PARTNERS rather than stakeholders. Must be inv in all levels of design. We employ whanau ora centric, Tikanga Maori model. Maori are seen as treaty partners and co-designers.
