Q

What are the exit and entry blood vessels of the liver?

A
  • Exit: Hepatic veins which drain into the IVC
  • Entery : Hepatic portal vein which takes all blood from Alimentary canal ( spleen, colon, stomach, pancreas, small intestine) into the liver. This blood is rich in nutrients but poor in Oxygen.
    1. Entery : Aorta–> coeliac arterty–> Hepatic artery—-> Liver. This blood is rich in oxygen, but poor in nutrients.

blood from the hepatic artery and blood from portal vein mix together at the hepatic sinusoid and drain into the hepatic vein which drains into the IVC.

Q

What is the relationship between Portal traid + Portal hepatic system?

A

all blood from alimentary system ( colon, small intestine, spleen, stomch) drains into the portal hepatic vein—> portal hepatic vein drains into the portal traid—-> blood rich in Oxygen comes from the hepatic artery which a branch of the coeliac artery–> blood from hepatic artery also drain into the portal traid—> the two blood from hepatic arttery and portal hepatic vein drain and mix in the hepatic sinusoid—> the hepatocyte process the mixed blood –> then the blood is drains into the central vein—> then into the hepatic vein—> finally into the IVC.
