What is the purpose of the Fleet Freight/Cargo message?
Provide a continuous update of routing instructions according to the ship’s schedule.
Message should include location/port where ship will receive cargo, with inclusion dates and transportation priority of cargo desired.
Describe One Touch Support.
Allows commands to stock check, inquire, technical screen, and requisition material via email.
Describe the purpose of “Never Out List” and what it contains.
A list of items required to always be on the ship (“Never Out”) in order to keep the ship running.
i.e. toilet paper, copy paper, soap, etc.
Discuss the effect of item demand on parts availability.
Increase of orders increases the demand of an item in the supply system and causes it to have a greater allowance.
Discuss Depot Level Repair parts.
Parts that require turn in for ordering.
Discuss Remain in Place procedures as related to DLR parts.
Depot Level Repair part turn in is not required until the work center receives the part.
Define and discuss the purpose and utilization of Maintenance Assist Modules.
Used to assist with troubleshooting.
Discuss the Navy Cash program.
Removes the use of physical cash which reduces the risk of theft and increases the ease of purchasing shipboard items.
Explain endurance loading of subsistence and how it affects the ship’s mission and sustainability.
Allows the ship to be out to sea for longer without replenishment by projecting the amount of food consumption will occur.
Define and describe the Basic Daily Food Allowance and state how it effects each crew member.
A set quantity of food required to provide a nutritionally adequate daily diet for one person.
State what kinds of rations are utilized during battle stations when the galley is not available and where they are distributed.
