  1. Respond to calls for service, both routine and emergency in nature
  2. Investigation and accurate reporting of crimes, incidents and conditions
  3. The arrest of criminal offenders
  4. prevention of criminal acts, vehicle related violations and accidents, the maintenance of public order, and the discovery of hazardous situations
  5. The sharing of information with other members of the department, as well as other government agencies
  6. Crime prevention activités such as residential inspections, business inspections, and community presentations
  7. Community relations activités such as citizen assists and individual citizen contact of a positive nature
  8. Application of community policing philosophy to establish partnership with citizens to improve their quality of life and provide a sense of safety and security to the community
