The Lessons Learned Review Sometimes called an After Action Review (AAR) — especially by the military, first responders, and other uniformed services — the lessons learned review teaches current or future project managers, project teams, and others what can work well and what may not work well.

Q

vendor closing checklist

A

For the third item, the specialty items, the acceptance (checklist) is somewhat more involved. These items will typically have complex technical specifications and performance criteria. There will typically be performance testing, durability testing, quality checks, and other validation to ensure that the product delivered meets all technical specifications and performance criteria and is suitable for the purpose it was designed for. Because of this, there will be a formal acceptance and vendor closeout checklist at the time of delivery.

Q

checklist

A

Checklists can be very useful in verifying that products and services ordered were delivered on time and as ordered. A checklist, as previously discussed, is simply a list of items, attributes, and activities. A specified responsible person checks each item on the list to verify that the items, attributes, and activities are present and were completed. This is often done as items are completed throughout the project and the lists are finalized at closeout.
