Explain how The Annals attest to God’s existence.

A

The Annals- mention a great fire that spread throughout Rome in 64 A.D., Emperor Nero puts the blame onto the Christians, who suffer the penalty. Tacitus mentions Jesus, the leader of these Christians, and says that He suffered crucifixion at the hands of the governor of Judea, Pontious Piate. He also mentions that the Roman Empire was under Emperor Tacitus’ reign at the time of Jesus’ persecution.

Explain how The Antiquities of the Jews attest to God’s existence.

A

Josephus mentions King Herod and Christ, who lived at the same time as the aforementioned king. He describes Jesus as a wise man and the leader of the tribe of Christians. He also mentions that Jesus was executed and regards James as Jesus’ brother.
