Pharmacology

A

Aspirin is an analgesic, antipyretic, anti inflammatory and anti-platelet aggregation agent. Aspirin minimises platelet aggregation and thrombus formation in order to retard the progression of coronary artery thrombosis in ACS. Aspirin also inhibits synthesis of prostaglandins.
