some countries do not have fair election’s. they may not be happy with them and believe the only way to get rid of them is by using violence.

individuals or groups may disagree with what government are doing and want to change it. they commit terrorism to try and get both politicians and public support for their views.
Andres Breivik set off a bomb outside the prime ministers office in Norway. he did this as he did not agree with Norway immigration policy.

they may feel isolated and discriminated against, they could become angry at people who made them feel this way. they want to feel a sense of purpose.
research done by university college London found that those who sympathised with terrorist ( didn’t commit it) had been a victim of social exclusion in a simulation were far more likely to justify there actions and violence

use terrorism to attack other races. white supremacism(explain) this made them believe that attacking black people was justifiable
Dylan roof murdered nine African Americans in Charleston church shooting. he confessed that he wanted to start a race war.

(poverty)
people may have no choice but to join terror groups to earn a wage or support their family.
Arab youth survey found 8/16 Arabs countries had a lack of jobs. this drew people towards isis.

food insecurity is where their is not enough reliable access to food. this could be due to conflict stopping food deliveries.
Islamic state is know to take food from charities and give it to towns and villages. this gained the trust of the locals and led some people to joining the group

someone may get caught up in the scene and get injured or die. victim would need to adjust key aspects of their life,

often increased security happens directly after an attack. it can include greater checks at airport or more armed police patrolling the area. some changes are temporary and some are permanent
after a terror plot that was stopped that involved liquids on aircraft, liquids above 100ml were no longer allowed through security.

countries have seen a lot of refugees coming to their country because if fear and violence caused by terror groups in their home country
in march 2016 the un refugee agency stated that the number of refugees fleeing Syria was now over 5 million

airstrikes are a way of attacking the enemy without putting troupes on the ground. Leading to fewer military casualties.
after the Paris attack the French government ordered airstrikes on the Syrian city of Raqqa.
