citizens of a country have chosen the people who they want to run their country.as it would not be practical for all citizens to be involved they limit it on who can vote and when.

most democracies like Scotland citizens vote every 5 years for the Scottish parliament

A

elections will happen every couple of years to give approval to the current government or disapprove. they can vote for free without feeling intimated or feeling that it is rigged.

they are able to voice there support or criticise the government. they can also dislike other parties political parties who are not in government

in Scotland people will regularly protest in public and join marches or write on social media about their opinion
