A

What was the Spanish Armada?

A

The king of Spain (king Phillip II) created a naval army of 130 ships and wanted to invade England.

A

A

Wha happened in the battle?

A

The weather went against the Spanish forcing them to go all the way round Britain. This meant it was easier for England to attack causing them to retreat and they made sure they had to flee by stealing their supplies.

A

As the Spanish retreated a storm psuhed them round Scotland and Ireland and their ships got completely battered causing them to get on to land only to be attacked by Scottish and Irish.
