What is an Aim

A general summary of what the researcher intends to study i.e effect of sleep on happiness

What is a Hypotheses

A prediction of what the researcher thinks will happen in a study

Name the three types of hypotheses

. Directional (One-tailed)
. Non-directional (Two-tailed)
. Null

Directional Hypotheses

States the direction the experiment will go in, researcher states what they think will happen. Only used when they are confident

Non-directional Hypotheses

Doesn't state the direction the experiment will go in but says there will be a difference.

Null

States that there will be no difference in the findings
