uncovering natural laws that govern the universe
Define heliocentric theory.
The theory that the sun is the center of the universe. First thought of by Copernicus followed by Galileo.

What did John Locke and Thomas Hobbes believe about people’s natural rights?
the idea that people were born with rights of life, freedom, and property. Locke believed people were blank slates. Hobbes believed that people were naturally bad
Define social contracts.
The concept that governments are supposed to work for the people and preserve their rights.
