Why do adolescence show greater risky behavior?
A
pruning of grey matter (decrease neuron and connection) & myelination of remaining neurons => systems in adolescence become more integrated => leads them to wanting to experience the unfamiliar, unsafe
along with change in reward system where they are prone of feeling bored w status quo and release of dope w novelty

=> increased risky behavior
