  • Global agreements, the US is very powerful so it is likely to gain support on important decisions. For example; in 2021 the US signed a new climate deal.
  • Threatening or imposing sanctions, sanctions are a powerful way to interfere with a countries actions. For example; the US has imposed sanctions on Russia for invading Ukraine.
