Q

when is pluperfect used?

A
  1. The pluperfect refers to an action prior to another in the past. Therefore, it can
be said that the pluperfect is the past of the past.

A. It is also used to express that it is the first time we perform an action (ex. Nunca había estado en España)

B. To express that an action is immediately after another (ex. Se conocieron en enero y en febrero se habían
casado)

C. To express an interrupted thought in the past.
(ex. Había pensado llamarte (pero al final
no lo hice).
