What meds to avoid with G6PD

A

d/t risk of hemolysis is dose-related:

  • Aspirin
  • Acetaminophen (Tylenol) is acceptable).
  • Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C)
  • Chloroquine
  • Methylene blue
  • Methyldopa (Aldomet)
  • Sulfisoxazole (Pediazole)
