17
Q

Decribe the epithila in urethra and bladder.

A

Urothelium

Highly folded

Ability to strecth

Umbrella cells create impermeamble barrier to toxins

Smooth muscle layers

18
Q

Which drug classes act on the nephron and what their effect?

A

Loop directics - Acts on the thick ascending limb, reduces sodium reabsorption.

Thiazide- Acts on the distal convelated tubule, reduces sodium reabsorption.

Potassium sparring directics- acts at aldosterone recptor antagonist in the DCT , increases water reabsorbion and prevents potassium from being lost.
