what do distortion illusions make clear?
A
1) The distortion illusions of Muller-Lyer, Ponzo, Poggendoff, Wundt and Titchner make clear the complex depth and size calculations that the brain is doing (correctly) all the time
2) “unfair” situation for the brain of 2D drawings which are (or are interpreted as) 3D representations
