A

“These violent delights have violent ends. And in their triumph die, like fire and powder.”(2.6.9-15)

Verse includes dramatic irony because the audiecne is aware that Friar Lawrences words are prophetic.

“Away to heaven, respective lenity, And fire-eyes be my conduct now.”(3.1.85-86)

Mercutio has just died and Romeos emotions are turning into violence. The alliteration ‘fired eyed fury” reflects his anger to be explosive and out of control.

Lady capulet is selfish because she doesn’t listen to her daughter because she fears her hudbsnad

. If she went against her husband it coud cause her whole marriage to fall apart.

Puts relaitonsip with her daughter at risk.
