  • Shock, tachycardia, dysrhythmias
  • Anaphylaxis
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • if used prior to delivery, can cause uterine rupture, uterine spasm, lacerations, and fetal damage
  • Clotting disorders, electrolyte disturbances
