• Only use twisted double core cable
  -Avoid knots and loops in cable
• Keep both ends of the cable disconnected, shunted (twisted together) and earthed until immeadiately before testing or firing.
• Maintain as much cable twisted as possible and knot/tape to avoid cable untwisting
• Keep cables away from power cables
• ## Ensure bare wires (other that the firing point) are taped as they are made and do not come into contact with the ground, electrical conduits/cables/earthed metal.
