A Verb shows an action or a state of being.
For example:
✓ The man washes his car every Sunday. washes is the verb/it shows the action of the man.
OTHER EXAMPLES:-
Josh wrote neatly. wrote shows the action of Josh.
✓ They are angry. are describe conditions. It is a State of Being with no action being performed.
✓ The boys are washing the cars for Mr. Smith. are washing is a verb. The auxiliary is added.
