Q

OEB DEFINITION
Airbus issues an Operations Engineering Bulletin (OEB) to rapidly inform Operators of any ………that have a significant operational effect.
An OEB provides Operators with technical information and temporary operational procedures that address these deviations.

Q

OEBs can be either red or white, depending on their level of priority.

Red OEBs :
Are issued to indicate that non-compliance with the recommended procedures may have a significant impact on the safe operation of the aircraft .

The Operators shall provide all flight crews with these OEBs or their content without delay.
White OEBs :
Are issued to indicate that non-compliance with the recommended procedures may have a significant impact on aircraft operation.

Airbus recommends that the Operators apply these OEBs within… days from the date of publication of these OEBs.
Airbus strongly recommends that all Operators rapidly apply the OEB corrective actions as soon as they become available, particularly for red OEBs.

OEB IMMEDIATE ACTIONS
OEB Immediate Actions are actions that the flight crew must memorize, in order to be able to rapidly apply them, without….

OEB Immediate Actions are surrounded by a box in the OEB procedure, in order to enable the flight crew to easily identify them, and are preceded by the phrase ‘IMMEDIATELY APPLY‘.

REVIEW OF THE OEB
In accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and before each flight, the flight crew must review all OEBs that are applicable to their aircraft.
If the OEB conditions are applicable, the flight crew must….. the operational procedure(s) that is in the OEB.

Disregard as required and Monitor for Traffic as TCAS will revert to TA mode until below 5500’agl
Also Unless other failure that affects the approach capability occurred during the flight, the aircraft will retrieve its normal approach capability below 5 500 ft AGL.

AFS CP Altitude Knob Use

The internal mechanical components of the AFS CP ALT knob might have sensitivity weakness.

OPERATIONAL CONSEQUENCE
An offset of only one increment of not commended altitude change could occur, i. e 100 ft or 1 000 ft depending on the outer knob setting.

A
PROCEDURE
After each use of the AFS CP ALT knob:
ALT outer knob	SET 100
Note:
The 1000 position of the ALT outer knob can be used for altitude target selection. However, the flight crew should ensure that the ALT outer knob is set to the 100 position after each use.
