Standing wave+electrons+nodes

A

a stationary wave, is a wave that oscillates in time but whose peak amplitude profile does not move in space.

Electrons exist as excitations in the electron field around the nucleus in a standing wave. This standing wave can have diff numbers of nodes allowing patterns o repeat when there are more elections around nucleus.
