Q

Explain the process of GPCR amplification

A

1- Adrenalin bind to its receptor ( beta adrenerginic receptor )
2- then GDP will be converted to GTP
3- GTP will bind to the alpha sub-unit which will dissociate from the other sub-units
4-then this complex ( GDP+alpha subunit ) will bind to the enzyme ( Adenylyl cyclase )
5- the enzyme will catalyse the formation of cAMP which will activate protein kinase A
6- PKA will phosphorylate the cellular protein and make the cell response to adrenaline

Q

Explain the pathway of activation of PKC ?

A

Phospholipase C cut the molecule into diacyglycerol and iP3 DAG will activate Protein kinase C and iP3 will allow the release of Ca+ from Endoplasmetic reticulum which then will further activate Protein kinase C
