Someone has the symptoms of CO poisoning. Have EMS respond to the resident

A

What are the actions of the Officer on readings of 9ppm but less than 100ppm?

A
  • Advise occupants of potentially dangerous level of CO has been detected
  • Recommend that all persons leave the premises and start ventilation
  • If an appliance has been discovered to malfunction and produce the CO, it shall be shut down
  • Once the premises has been reduced to a safe level of CO, the premises may be occupied at the discretion of the occupant
  • Attempts made to reset detector
  • If alarm activates again, call 911
  • Inform occupants of actions taken
  • if its an appliance which fuel is supplied by the gas company, the gas company has been requested to respond
