Situation/Relative location: the location of a place relative to other places.
Absolute location
Absolute location: describes the position of a place in a way that never changes (coordinates: latitude, longitude)

Cultural landscape: a combination of cultural features (language, religion), economic features (agriculture, industry), physical features (climate, vegetation).

Formal Region/Uniform Region: area within which everyone shares a common one or more distinctive characteristics. Ex. common language or climate
functional region
Functional region/nodal region: area around a node of focal point. Ex. reception area of tv station.
vernacular region
Vernacular region/perceptual region: area that people believe exists as a part of their cultural identity. Ex. the south.

Culture: Body of customary beliefs, material traits, and social forms that together constitutes the distinct tradition of a group of people.
