12 Elevation Mast Assy Flashcards
(12 cards)
Telescopic Mast (Upper Mast)
Portion of elevating mast that elevates and lowers platform between operating and stowed position; raised and lowered electronically or manually.
Masts electrical harnesses are protected inside the telescopic Mast in armor protected tube assy.
Elevation nut and spindle shaft are located in telescopic Mast.
Interface Plate
Mounting plate for ETS. Provides mounting facility from the outside edge to the vehicle roof and from the inside edge to the ring bearing.
Adapter Plate Assy.
Is the interface that allows the ETS to be mounted to the Telescopic Mast; provides electrical connection between all platform components and cable assemblies.
Mast Harness Connectors
Provide electrical connections necessary to supply proper voltage and electrical signals to operate components in ETS.
Mast Protective Cover
Provides added environmental protection and sealing for the Telescopic Mast and inside against CBRN attacks.
REMOVE BEFORE STOWING MAST
Turret Drive Lock
Engages the ring bearing to lock the mast in Azimuth position when set to locked. Allows the turret to traverse by power or manual drive when set to unlocked.
Locking Handles (3)
Used to lock and support ETS when mast is in the up / operating position.
Slip Ring
Provides capability of supplying ETS with voltage, electrical, video connections and signals from the chassis. Allows ETS to rotate 360°.
(mast) Elevation Drive Assy.
170 VDC motor connected to the gearbox via a tooth belt pulley.
Rotates spindle shaft (inside Telescopic Mast Assy.) to provide vertical movement of the Telescopic Mast.
Gearbox has a second output option for manual drive.
Mast Retainer Assy.
Functions as internal component where Locking Handles support the Upper Mast Assy. in raised position.
Internal component that connects the Upper Mast Assy. to Lower Mast Assy.
Lower Mast Assy.
Provides a housing for electrical connections and mount supports for the Locking Handles.
Includes ring bearing; main bearing between upper chassis hull and elevating mast.
Mast Switches and Harness
Has two limit switches that provide signals for upper and lower mast position.
Wire harness connects to the Slip Ring.
