A

Periosteal layer - attached to bone

Meningeal layer - in contact with arachnoid Mater

What is the arachnoid mater?

A

Spider resemblance

Lines the dura mater

  • trabeculae project from the internal surface across the subarachinoid space, and are continuous with pia mater

What is the subarachinoid space?

A

Fluid filled space, containing cerebrospinal fluid and blood vessels.

Arachnoid villi resort CSF into venous system.

As it adheres to brain surface it enters in the sulci of the brain.
