A

internal - movement of people within a country

international - movement of people from one country to another

A

-a model that shows how population changes over time
-studies how birth/death rate affects a country’s pop.
-shows marked differences between LEDCs and MEDCs

A

-healthcare, state pension and elderly benefits for old dep.

Give some factors that affect the distribution of a population in a country:

A

geographical - water availability, climate, relief, soil
economical - urbanisation, natural resources, transport routes
social - government policies, cultural/religious importance

This can also be used for the factors that influence the site of a settlement

What are some reasons for internal migration to the city?

A

-job/business opportunities with higher wages
-better services (education, hospitals, transport, entertainment, closer to shops)
-better supply of facilities (water/electricity/gas)
-higher QoL

These are just the general urban pull factors, you could also compare these to the rural push factors too
