Airstart Envelope
1W:
125-200 KIAS for MSL-15,000ft
135-200 KIAS for 15,001-20,000ft
Canopy Unlocked
1.Airspeed - 150 KIAS MAX, Avoid Abrupt Manu.
- Descend below 18,000 ft MSL
- Pressurization Switch - Dump, below 18,000 ft MSL
- Land As Soon As Possible
1W - Do not attempt to lock canopy
2W - If canopy is floating do not eject
Compressor Stall
- PCL - Slowly Retard Below Stall Threshold
- Defog Switch - On
… - PCL - Slowly advance
4,5,6.
Can fly - PEL
Can’t fly - Eject
Departing Controlled Flight Notes and Warnings
BOLD FACE
1W - Flight Controls Neutral is required else recovery is prevented
2N - Cycling control positions or Inputing anti-spin maneuvers early can aggravate
3W - Minimum Ejection Altitude - 6,000 ft AGL
4C - Power On or Inverted departures from controlled flight will likely cause engine damage. Chip and Low Oil PX lights likely.
Runaway Trim
- Trim Interrupt Button - Depress and Hold
- Airspeed - As Required to reduce control forces
- Trim Disconnect switch - Trim Disconnect
- Trim Interrupt - Release
1N - Reduce airspeed to 110-150 KIAS to reduce forces.
Adding power = pitch up, yaw left
Reducing power = pitch down, yaw right
Smoke and Fume Elimination
- OBOGS - Check, Both
- SUP Lever - On
- Concentration lever - Max
- Pressure lever - Emergency - Decent Below 10,000 ft MSL - Initiate
- Pressureization Switch - RAM/Dump
- Bleed Air Inflow - Off
If fire persists:
5. BAT, GEN, Aux Bat - Off
Engine Malfunction Analysis Start
“Torque High, look high”
- Np 100% or Not?
“Torque Low, look low”
- N1 >67% or <67%
